Audiences Positively Interact with Ping Pong Narrating Show

Ping Pong Narrating Show was successfully released last Sunday by Doum Cultural Foundation in the aim of supporting its annual storytelling festival which will take place this year in Qena from April 30 to May 3, 2015. Hosted by JWT garden, Zamalek, the show was well received by the audience who positively interacted with the stories written and narrated by 12 participants.

The storytelling show was performed by the members of Sishit workshop for literary writing which started in 2012 in Doum Cultural Foundation under the supervision of the novelist Sahar Elmougy. The revenue goes to support the festival which this year will boast 20 storytelling bands taking part from various provinces.

The festival opening will take place in Dendera temple. The shows of the festival will be held in 8 different locations in Qena over the Nile cornice, in the South Valley University, Qus city, an open public caf├ę and schools.

Marking the first storytelling festival in Egypt, the 2nd Doum Storytelling Festival comes this year following its successful debut last year.

Doum Storytelling Festival in Qena is held in collaboration with General Authority for Cultural Palaces (Ministry of Culture), Culture and Scientific Renaissance Association (Jesuit) and the Ministry of Youth. The festival includes 24 storytelling shows from all over Egypt, in from the popular and the contemporary. In addition, there will be a number of workshops targeting young trainees from Qena.
