Daughters of Adbulrahman Screens at the Amman Film Industry Days

Director Zaid Abu Hamdan's feature film project Daughters of Adbulrahman, starring Saba Mubarak, will take part in the 1st Amman Film Industry Days (AFID) (August 24-26), held within the Amman International Film Festival (AIFF) in Jordan.

Directed and written by Zaid Abu Hamdan, the film stars Saba Mubarak, who is also the executive producer, Farah Bsaiso, and Mariam Basha. Daughters of Adbulrahman is co-produced by Pan East Media (Aya Wuhoush and Saba Mubarak), Lagoonie Film Production, MAD Solutions, and Arab Media Network. The film is distributed in the Arab world by MAD Solutions and Film Clinic Indie Distribution.
Daughters of Adbulrahman is a dark comedy that tells the story of four estranged and offbeat sisters who are forced to come together to find their suddenly-missing father.

Recently, Daughters of Adbulrahman won two awards presented by the Arab Radio and Television Network (ART) and Rotana Group at the CineGouna SpringBoard, held within the CineGouna Platform. Each award is worth $10,000.The film also received grants from the Doha Film Institute, Tribeca Film Institute, and the Jordan Film Fund (JFF) (Production Category) offered by The Royal Film Commission Jordan - RFC.

The Amman Film Industry Days (AFID) pitching platforms will showcase a line-up of 14 projects in development and in post-production selected out of 60 submissions. AFID will host seminars, workshops and talks with industry professionals which tackle challenging areas of the filmmaking process that Jordanian and Arab filmmakers face today, in addition to sharing journeys and experiences by experts in the field.

Organized under the umbrella of the Royal Film Commission -Jordan (RFC), the Amman International Film Festival (AIFF) is Jordan's first international film festival that showcases Arab and international films. The distinctive edge of this Festival lies in the recognition of various talents involved in the making of a film: direction, scriptwriting, editing, photography and acting.
