El Kenz 2 Trailer Reaches 1 Million Views


The official trailer of El Kenz 2 (El Kenz 2: Love and Destiny) by director Sherif Arafa has reached 1 million views in 48 hours on its Facebook page. United Bros Studios will release the film in July in Egyptian cinemas followed by other Arab countries.

The film's Facebook page had released a 4-minute summary video of the highlights of the first film, which is an unprecedented move in Egypt and the Arab world.

El Kenz 2: Love and Destiny continues with the charactersÂ’ fight over the treasure sacrificing either their love or lives. The film reveals the secret of the treasure, its importance and how to preserve it. The sequel will pick up where the first film left off; Queen Hatshepsut continues her fight with the priests and her love for the engineer, Ali Al-Zibq continues his fight with Elkalby and his love for the latterÂ’s daughter, Zainab, which will reveal the price of revenge that he has to pay, and how will General Bashir Pasha, who sacrificed his brotherÂ’s life and his beloved to keep his position, find the treasure and how will his son, Hassan, search for his fatherÂ’s unknown legacy.
Directed and written by Sherif Arafa, El Kenz is screen-written by Abdel Rahim Kamal, and features an all-star cast, including the stars of Al Kenz; Mohamed Saad, Mohamed Ramadan, Hend Sabry, Ahmed Rizk, Haitham Ahmed Zaki, Ruby, Amina Khalil, Sawsan Badr, Hany Adel, Ahmed Malek, Abbas Aboelhassan, Abdulaziz Makhyoon, and Mohy Ismaiel, along with Ahmed Hatem and Sara Abdelrahman. The first installment of the film, Al Kenz, was a huge success in the box office and won eight awards at the Egyptian Cinema Film Association Festival, Egyptian National Film Festival and the Arabian Cinema Awards (ACA).
