Film Clinic to Begin Production on the British-Egyptian Film Luxor

Producer Mohamed Hefzy's Film Clinic has signed a co-production agreement with Film Factory and Front Row Entertainment for British- Egyptian film Luxor by the British writer/ director Zeina Durra.

Set in Egypt, the film follows the birth of a love story between a foreign doctor and an archaeologist under the warm sun of the ancient city of Luxor..

In addition to Hefzy and Durra, the film crew has been joined by the BAFTA winner and Oscar nominated Paul Webster in his capacity as the film's Executive Producer. Luxor is headlined by British star Andrea Riseborough (Birdman), French-Lebanese star Karim Saleh (Vice), and Egyptian star Shereen Reda (Photocopy).

Luxor is the second feature film by director Zeina Durra after The Imperialists Are Still Alive that landed its world premiere at the Sundance Film Festival. Commenting on her new film, Luxor, Durra says, "Through Luxor, I want to make a film that takes the audience to a wonderful place and a great love story. That doesn't make us run away from reality, but it is present in the film and creates space for hope and recovery too."

About the new film project, Hefzy comments, "Luxor is a promising international film project and this makes it an important experiment for the Egyptian film industry. In addition to its artistic value, it will promote Egyptian culture and civilization through its events that take place in the most important archaeological city in the world."

Film Clinic was founded in 2005 by renowned Producer/Screenwriter Mohamed Hefzy as a production company that offers screenwriting workshops and specializes in producing feature and documentary films.
