Forty-Year-Old Rare Photos of the Members of Les Petits Chats...Ezzat Abu Ouf as a Young Singer and Omar Khairat on the Drums
Fifty years ago, five young men were brought together by a common passion: music and singing. They formed a band that reintroduced popular English songs in Arabic and Les Petits Chats was born during the 1960s and 1970s, before they went their separate ways in the mid-1990s.
As the band had a comeback performance in 2010, director Sherif Nakhla decided to utilize their reunion to make a documentary film that would revive the band. The purpose of the documentary film was served as the band did return to performing together after they watched the film. The film's special screening was held last Tuesday as fans once again rallied to cheer on the most popular rock band in the Arab world during the 1970s.
