Kiss Me Not Takes Part in the Summer Screenings at the Malmo Arab Film Festival


The feature film Kiss Me Not by director Ahmed Amer is going to screen in Malm, Sweden on Saturday, August 4 at 09:00 PM, as part of the summer screenings organized by the Malm Arab Film Festival in cooperation with Sommarscen Malm. The film is distributed by MAD Solutions.

Recently, Kiss Me Not was released in five Tunisian movie theaters as part of its series of successful screenings in the Arab world. The film is set to screen at the Darb 1718 contemporary art and culture center on Sunday, August 12 marking its second screening at the center after having a full-house screening last June.

Last February, Kiss Me Not was commercially released in Egyptian theaters achieving wide critical acclaim. It was also commercially released at VOX Cinemas at the Mall of the Emirates for one week. The film took part in the Festival des Cinmas Arabes Paris in France, and Shanghai International Film Festival in China, in addition to receiving a Special Mention at the 1st Jounieh International Film Festival. Kiss Me Not also screened at the Aswan International Women Film Festival (AIWFF), Tripoli Film Festival and Miami Film Festival. It was also released at Metropolis Cinema in Lebanon.

Written and directed by Ahmed Amer, Kiss Me Not follows a young and ambitious Egyptian director who faces issues while shooting a kissing scene in his new film with the leading actress who decides to pursue a more religious path.

Kiss Me Not stars Yasmin Raeis, Mohamed Mahran, Salwa Mohamed Ali and Aida Riad with guest stars actress Sawsan Badr, late director Mohamed Khan and director Khairy Beshara as themselves. The film is produced by Middlewest Films, WIKA for Film Production and Distribution and MAD Solutions, and distributed by MAD Distribution.
