Mohamed Hefzy Discusses the State of Global Film Finance at the Dubai International Film Festival

Producer/Screenwriter Mohamed Hefzy is getting ready to fly to Dubai to take part in a panel discussion titled Money Talks: The State of Global Film Finance. The discussion will be held on Friday, December 8 at 02:00 PM for one hour as part of the Forum, one of the programmes of the Dubai Film Market (DFM) that is held within the 14th Dubai International Film Festival (DIFF).

Along with Hefzy, the panelists are Bertrand Faivre (Le Bureau), Producer Jonathan Deckter (Voltage Pictures) and Peter Trinh, Managing Director of International and Independent Film at ICM Partners. The discussion will be moderated by Producer Matthew Rhodes (The Hideaway Entertainment). These leading execs and producers are going to share their perspectives on the current state of film finance and prospects for the future.

Mohamed Hefzy studied Metallurgical Engineering in London. As a screenwriter, Hefzy presented a collection of remarkable films to the Egyptian film industry such as El Selem Wi El Teeban (Snakes And Ladders), Tito, Fattah Eneek (Open Your Eyes), Malaki Eskenderia (Private Alexandria), El Tourbini, 45 Youm (45 Days), Aswar Al Aamar (Walls of the Moon) and Warda. In 2005, he founded his production house Film Clinic, through which he produced and co-produced many films including Sheikh Jackson, Hepta: The Last Lecture, Clash, Ali, the Goat and Ibrahim, Withered Green, Excuse My French, Villa 69, Rags and Tatters and My Brother the Devil.
