Producer Hani Osama Showcases the Producers' Activities and Achievements at DIFF

Producer Hani Osama is set to travel to Dubai to attend the 14th Dubai International Film Festival (DIFF) where he will present a seminar showcasing the latest activities undertaken by his company The Producers, in addition to the latest projects that the company is working on. He will also take part in a discussion panel that will be held within the Dubai Film Market.

The seminar will be held on Thursday, December 7th, at 12:00 pm (Dubai Time). During the event, Hani Osama will present the TV series Ana Shahira and Ana El Khayen, the company's latest TV project that is adapted from Noor Abdulmajeed's duology with the same title. The series will be divided into two parts with 30 episodes each, presenting the same story but from different perspectives, which makes it the very first Arab TV series to adopt such a method.

Furthermore, Hani will present the TV series Seventh Neighbor that is currently gaining many viewers across TV and YouTube with over 10 million views. Seventh Neighbor is the first 60-episode Egyptian TV series and is directed by three young female directors Ayten Amin, Nadine Khan and Heba Yousry.

Within the Forum's program that is held as part of the Dubai Film Market, Hani Osama will participate in a panel discussion titled The Big Bang Theory on Sunday, December 10th, at 10: 45 am (Dubai Time), alongside Nader Sobhan, Regional Manager of iflix in the MENA region; Khaled bin Shousha, Vice President of Programming and Data Procurement at Starz Play; and Neil Martin, an Advertising Manager at OSN. The panel will be led by Ted Barcos, Manager of Market Development at Red Medium.

The discussion will revolve around the radical change that has been brought forth by video on demand (VOD) services and other video streaming websites in regards to the techniques implemented by the TV industry as well as content creation, dissemination and viewing. The discussion will also delve into how to create the element of excitement and retaining the audience's interest over the course of several seasons, and how the production process is affected financially and creatively by what the broadcast organizations require.

Hepta: The Last Lecture became the highest-grossing romantic film in the history of the Egyptian cinema. Osama is currently working on turning writer Noor Abdulmajeed's duology Ana Shahira and Ana El Khayen into a 60-episode TV series split into two seasons. But the most recent and exciting project is adapting Nabil Farouk's novel Adham Sabry.

Through The Producers, Osama co-produced the films Excuse My French, which starred a number of children, the thriller Warda, the first Egyptian feature created in the found-footage style, Before the Summer Crowds, the last film by the great Egyptian director Mohamed Khan,and Sheikh Jackson by director Amr Salama, Egypt's official submission to the 2018 Academy Award for Best Foreign-Language Film that made about EGP seven million in ticket sales so far. The company's TV productions include the TV series A'ard Khas and Zarf Aswad, along with Seventh Neighbor that is airing now on TV. The series is directed by three young female directors for the first time in the Arab world. Currently, Osama is working with Cairokee rock band on a new project that will start with producing a musical film. In addition to films and TV series, Osama also produced a number of TV commercials for some of the most famous trade marks in the Arab world.
